TESTIMONIALS

"Casey and Taj ran a workshop for our graduate students. Doctoral students are taught how to do research and how to write, but seldom actually taught how to communicate verbally. Yet communicating research verbally is an increasingly important skill for academics. The workshop was great and exactly what our students needed to begin to feel comfortable talking about their research. There was a lot of trepidation initially, but the students became visibly more comfortable as the workshop progressed, and they learned really important skills about, among other things, body language and reading the room. At the end, each of the students gave a short presentation and Taj and Casey gave them detailed personal feedback that they could apply to other presentations they give in their career. I can't wait to do this again next year, and I think all Ph.D. students (and, really, all academics) should participate in workshops like these!"

- Dr. Jane L. Sumner, Assistant Professor of Political Science, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities

"I had a great time at the workshop that Casey and Taj put on! They were easy to talk to and took us through several scenarios that forced us to think quickly, make eye contact, and pay attention to our audience. My favorite part was getting individual feedback on giving a short speech to a crowd. This type of feedback was immensely helpful and can be at times hard to receive, but they did so in a most-supportive and delightful manner."

- Marissa Theys, doctoral student

Both Taj and Casey are such tremendous examples of embracing and applying the underlying principles of improv and are two of the most warm, fun and welcoming people I could imagine teaching improv.
Each of them has a depth and breadth of experience, on stage and off, using the tools and concepts to create memorable, positive experiences for their audiences, peers and scene partners - together they are such a perfect team that it seems not only obvious, but inevitable.
You could not be in better hands.

-Butch Roy, Executive Director of HUGE Improv Theater

"Taj and Casey are true masters in the art of improvisation.  Not only are they able to employ advanced technique and understanding of this varied discipline, they make it relatable, enjoyable, and so applicable to our everyday life!  The improvisational concepts and ideas Taj and Casey present have made my life better in almost every way.  They give wonderful "up-on-your-feet" tools to practice communication, to more easily take a "seat at the table" and declare, and to say, "YES" to myself and other people's ideas.  And did I mention it was FUN?!  I cannot recommend these two facilitators highly enough!"
